Update: The cause of the flapping has been identified as a routing loop in network devices in Tokyo and Los Angeles. DigiCert's Network Engineering team is working on a solution. All BGP sessions are restored.

DigiCert is currently experiencing a service disruption. All teams are actively engaged in resolving the issue as soon as possible. All BGP sessions in Tokyo flapped. Upon investigation, an error was observed on routers in those sites. The routers have recovered and all sessions restored, however, this has happened multiple times. The Dubai Point of Presence (PoP) in the UltraDDoS Protect and UltraWAF network has been temporarily taken off-line due to a hardware failure in a critical network device. A replacement is being shipped into Dubai to restore service in the PoP. The estimated time for site restoration is approximately 28 days due to traffic delays in the Middle East. DigiCert Engineering has identified an issue with the UltraDDoS Protect router in Dubai (DXB). All teams are actively engaged in resolving the issue as soon as possible. Customer Impact: Customers may expect BGP Peering sessions in DXB to go down. Due to the device failure, customer traffic has been routed off of Dubai (DXB) and will be routed to the next closest POP to minimize impact. The fiber cuts in the APAC region have been repaired and normal latency has been restored.

Our upstream ISPs in the APAC region have applied traffic engineering to re-route around the fiber cuts. With their efforts, latency has seen significant improvement. There is no estimated time to repair at this point. We will continue to provide updates as we learn more.

Dear Customer, Location: Amsterdam (AMS) Impact: UltraDDoS Engineering will be performing software upgrades on our router in Amsterdam. The node will be taken offline for the duration of the work. Customer clean traffic to AMS will automatically route to the next closest scrubbing node in the region. Customers who use AMS as a clean traffic peering point may see their BGP sessions momentarily go down and will see clean traffic shift to their backup site peer/s.
